DINAMICS Project RECI/EMS-SIS/0147/2012
Dynamics of INterfacial Transport PhenomenA in MIcro Scale Energy Conversion Systems

ABOUT
The fast development of micro-fabrication techniques offers the opportunity to devise micro-scale components depicting strong potential for application in classical and emerging research and industrial fields, with high economic interest and innovative characteristics.
The fundamental description of the mechanisms governing mass, momentum and energy transport in these devices plays a vital role in the development of emerging technologies, but requires a new approach which addresses the relevance of the surface energy, interfacial tensions, and micrometric properties of the surface in the analysis of the flows. In this context, our laboratory activities follow an interdisciplinary approach, combining the expertise of various scientific fields.
